"We, the Ministers and Heads of delegation of States
participating in the PEBLDS process, endorse the Resolution on Biodiversity
submitted by the PEBLDS Council and we commit to achieving the nine targets
for halting the loss of biodiversity by 2010 through national efforts
and regional cooperation. In doing so we highlight as key issues for Europe:
forests and biodiversity, agriculture and biodiversity, the Pan-European
Ecological Network, invasive alien species, financing of biodiversity,
biodiversity monitoring and indicators, and public participation and awareness."
